Our capabilities include the following:
- In-house scanning: Our digital scanning expert has over 20 years experience working with high resolution images. The most important step in retouching is capturing the best possible image on the initial scan. This process involves critical adjustment of colors and densities at the time the scan is made, eliminating needless retouching later.
- In-house retouching: Our retouching services are based in-house, saving our clients hours of time and rounds of proofs. By having retouching services in-house, our art directors can remain intimately involved in the process as the job is created. This saves time, eliminates the need for multiple rounds of costly proofs from outside suppliers while allowing us to deliver the project on schedule.
- Preflighting: An extensive background in printing specifications allows us to build final mechanical files to the exact requirements of printers and suppliers. By building the jobs correctly the first time, the printers and suppliers we use don't need to spend additional time preparing jobs to work on their output devices. This means our projects move through more quickly than most, allowing us to pass printing discounts along to our clients.
- Color calibration and ICC profiling: We work closely with our suppliers to match their color space with our output devices. This way, when we release files for proofs, the colors will accurately match the colors we have been showing our clients.
- Digital workflow and PDF-X1 Files: We work closely with the
publications our clients advertise in to help the publications
develop and utilize an all-digital PDF-X1 workflow. This format
ensures the best possible quality with the smallest room for
formatting errors.
