The Phelps Group drives strategic communications for Panera Bread in the Los Angeles, Orange County, Ventura County and Inland Empire markets.

The agency provides a full range of integrated marketing communications services, including strategic planning, program development, community relations, media relations, social media and event marketing for Panera Bread's 55 area bakery-cafes and additional locations scheduled to open in 2011 and 2012. The agency works closely with national marketing managers and the franchisees in the SoCal area.

With its identity rooted in handcrafted, fresh-baked, artisan bread, Panera Bread is committed to providing great tasting, quality food that people can trust. The menu includes a wide variety of year-round favorites, complemented by new items introduced seasonally with the goal of creating new standards in everyday food choices. At the close of each day, Panera Bread bakery-cafes donate bread and baked goods to community organizations in need.

The Phelps Group concepted and drove an aggressive media relations campaign to launch Xooro, the first and only upscale premium Spanish fritter restaurant in the country, at their flagship location just blocks from the famed Santa Monica Pier.

Xooro, pronounced "SURE-oh", is the gourmet version of the traditional Spanish churro.

The Xooro team executed a highly successful media relations campaign, garnering local, national and international coverage. There are now more than a dozen locations under development.
