Peixoto Joins Phelps as VP, Broadcast and Video Production
SANTA MONICA -- (February 3, 2004) — The Phelps Group, one of the nation's leading integrated marketing communication agencies, has announced the appointment of Monica Peixoto as vice president, broadcast and video production.
Depending on the scope of the project, Peixoto will be line producer, executive producer or available for consulting on broadcast and video projects at the agency.
Among her projects currently in development are a documentary, a brand image video and a DVD, all employing cutting-edge technologies such as high-def and digital video.
A marketing communications specialist with more than 10 years of experience in the electronics, entertainment, software and online industries, Peixoto brings to The Phelps Group a variety of skills, including writing, creative direction, and video and multi-media production. She also has in-depth experience using the latest technologies from industry leaders such as Panasonic, Avid and Apple.
Prior to joining The Phelps Group, Peixoto was president of Xodo Communications, a video production firm. While there, she produced videos, digital kiosks and signage for Panasonic Broadcast for NAB, InfoComm and other industry trade events.
Peixoto began her career as a documentary filmmaker, earning credits in a number of award-winning films. She was the recipient of a Kodak Emerging Artist Grant for her film work. She is a member of Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) and the Women in Film PSA Program in LA. And recently won a Viddy Award for her work.
