SANTA MONICA, Calif. – (August 16, 2004) – Panasonic Broadcast & Television Systems, a client of The Phelps Group since 1999, recently won an Award of Excellence in the 2004 Pro-Comm Awards competition sponsored by the Business Marketing Association (BMA).
The award, presented for "Total Communications Program Under $200,000," was made to Panasonic for its advertising, direct mail and Internet marketing campaign. Panasonic team members at The Phelps Group who were responsible for that integrated marketing campaign included: Team Leader Keith Zivalich, Art Director Kent Land, Copywriter Tom Rector, Interactive Developer James Leonard and Team Manager Jennifer John.
In this most recent competition - BMA's 29th Annual Pro-Comm Awards event - a panel of 30 business marketers from both agencies and corporations judged nearly 600 submissions in 40 business-to-business marketing communications categories. Entrants created, produced, published, aired and/or mailed communications directed to business, industry or the professions in calendar year 2003.
The judges awarded 114 Pro-Comm Awards - 38 Best of Division Awards and 76 Awards of Excellence - in 38 of the 40 categories.
Since its founding in 1922 (as the National Industrial Advertising Association), the BMA has been the pre-eminent service organization for professionals in the industrial advertising industry. The organization's annual Pro-Comm Awards are the oldest and most respected business-to-business awards in that industry.
