Calif. - November 28, 2001 -- The Phelps Group, a leader in integrated
marketing communications, was recently awarded honors by the Web
Marketing Association, Inc. (WMA), an organization devoted to recognizing
excellence in corporate websites worldwide. The Phelps Group won
three awards in the 2001 WebAwards website competition for their
Crystal Cruises and Panasonic Broadcast & Television clients,
as well as their own agency website.
The Crystal
Cruises website, designed and programmed by The Phelps Group was
awarded a Standard of Excellence WebAward and the Panasonic Broadcast
& Television Systems website was awarded the coveted Outstanding
Website WebAward. Applying their design skills and knowledge to
their own website, The Phelps Group brought home a Standard of Excellence
WebAward for the agency 's own site.
The Web Marketing
Association (WMA) was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard
for Internet marketing and corporate web development on the World
Wide Web. Staffed by volunteers, this Boston-based organization
is made up of Internet marketing, advertising, PR and design professionals
from around the country who share an interest for improving the
quality of advertising, marketing and promotion used to attract
visitors to corporate Web sites.
The Web Marketing Association is the producer of the WebAwards,
an annual award competition that is designed to judge corporate
Web sites against and Internet standard and against peer sites within
their industry. The WebAwards recognizes the individual achievement
behind the creation of today's top sites.
