Job Duties

Become a member of fast paced, motivated planning team at hip, integrated ad agency: Position requires a minimum five years media planning/negotiating/tracking/analysis experience at an advertising agency. Background in on and off-line direct-response planning a plus but will consider candidates with on-line/branding-only background. Job Description: The Phelps Group is currently searching for a very talented .NET Developer to join our Development team. You will participate/learn in architecture, design, and code development for various projects to support one of our key clients.
You will be expected to follow existing policies and guidelines, handle requests for posting content, participate in code review, creating and/or modifying existing internal and external pages, providing internal support as needed to resolve web related issues, and frequently updating your knowledge consistent with the latest trends and advancements under the guidance of our Team Leader.

This is an exclusive opportunity to contribute and learn about the interactive discipline within and Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) environment at The Phelps Group. Flash Designer/Developer
We're looking for a talented Flash designer/developer. You’ll be working with some of the best people in the business on nationally and internationally recognized brands. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Help develop aesthetic direction of Flash-based interactive projects including web sites, advertising banners, and web applications

  • Program front-end html mark up and scripting (limited)
  • Participate in performance

To qualify for this position, you need to have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant field of study, top-notch graphic design skills, an understanding of usability for the web, and possess expert level skills with Photoshop and/or Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash and ActionScript. Experience coding XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript considered a plus. Experience programming XML, PHP and MySQL a major plus (but not required). You must have experience taking direction from Art Directors, User Experience Architects, and Interactive Producers to rapidly build working prototypes that lead to finished products. You must be willing to embrace a strong procedural method. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. You must have a solid understanding of coding for web standards and demonstrate a sensitivity to design aesthetics. You must be very detail oriented. Description of the internship: Assist in different aspects of project execution and coordination for our clients. Depending on the discipline/team, this may include preparing media authorizations, spreadsheets, marketing plans, new business presentations, filing, research, brainstorming ad concepts, supplier coordination, developing cross-promotional ideas, proofreading, running errands, assisting in ad and collateral creation, word processing, assembling media kits, database development and updates, production traffic, interactive and web site coordination and development. We ask for a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Requirements: Senior-year students or recent university graduates preferred. Suggested minimum of 20 hours a week. Must commit to at least one semester/quarter. When applying, clearly state the months you are interesting in working.
