Home & Garden – Everything grows better with IMC

What it takes to succeed in home and garden today

Cocooning was no passing trend – Consumers continue to spend more time at home and enhance the cocoon that they are creating. While some are still buying huge homes, we've seen a trend toward smaller homes by empty nesters or because that's what's now affordable. However, though smaller, these homes are being filled with more amenities – and not just décor, but upscale kitchens, entertainment systems and upscale outdoor rooms. They're being built or remodeled to more effectively integrate today's technology for entertainment and function – and going green. Smart marketers will find opportunities to create products and services for this ongoing trend.

You're not just selling products... you must educate, inspire and reassure the customer – Homeowners want to love what they spend money on. After all, this is their HOME. It's not enough to offer a product they'll love, you need to educate customers and prospects why they need to buy your product/service.

Influencing the influencers – When people decide to invest in their home, they want to make sure that they are making the right choice about paint color, furnishings, fabrics, plants, window treatments, etc. Advice from those who know is hugely influential. Public relations, social media and an online experience can be effective for seeding your brand into the minds and recommendations of interior designers, architects, landscapers, chefs, et al.

We've helped build the businesses and brands for:

  • Monrovia (plants)

"I like The Phelps Group approach. They build a team of individuals around my business that I work closely with day-in and day-out on everything from strategy to tactics.
